1:1 child and family sessions
Poor sleep can impact a child’s mood, behaviour, and overall well-being as well as having a negative affect on the wider family. Through a compassionate and structured approach, I work with children and parents to identify sleep barriers and implement strategies that promote restful nights. Depending on the age and developmental stage of your child, I may recommend a parent-guided approach. Involving families in the process ensures that changes are sustainable and tailored to your child’s unique needs. Whether your child struggles with falling asleep, frequent night wakings, or bedtime resistance, CBT-I can provide long-term solutions for better sleep.

How it works
The first session is usually an assessment session. I will ask you about what you hope to achieve and find out about your more about your child including their health, development and a little about your life together so I can start to understand what might help. I will aim to give you a rough overview of what to expect from a course of CBT-I by the end of this session.

In your second session we will begin building a plan for how you can improve your child's sleep. The plan might include cognitive aspects, such as identifying and managing worries as well as behavioural aspects such as what to do if your child wakes in the night.

Each time we meet we will feedback on how things have been and update the plan to reflect these changes.
After each session you will be emailed a copy of the plan along with any exercises or resources that might support you and your child between sessions.

There is no set number of sessions but most people need 6-8 sessions to resolve the sleep issue.
Cost
